Frank's 'Pulled From The Stash' (Malcolm McLaren - Duck Rock)

Malcolm McLaren
Duck Rock

Just to make things clear, I don't like this record for the songs, I
like this record for the interludes of the Supreme Team radio
show.  It's loaded with a bunch of little pieces you've probably
heard one time or another. Next time you see this piece of wax at the
junk store pick it up. If your like me you'll like it.  If I'm not
mistaken Malcolm McLaren was the Sex Pistols manager or something like
that. He came to NYC & saw this thing called hip hop and liked it. Along with this record he came out with some 12"s which are all classic
material. Rest in peace Malcolm McLaren...

Frank's Weekly "Pulled From The Stash". - The Spook Who Sat By The Door.

The Spook Who Sat By The Door. Conducted and composed by  Herbie Hancock. If you had the chance to get this when it came out a few times you know what this is. To my knowledge the movie or sountrack was never officially released...as a matter of fact I was told that everything on this record was recorded from a tv, that's why it sounds so dirty. I'm usually getting told by my peoples to stop using the sirens on here but I doubt that will happen anytime soon ..... Enjoy

Frank's Weekly "Pulled From The Stash"

Idris Muhammad - Power of Soul

This record right here screams New York City to me. Drummer Idris Muhammad's first
outing on Kudu produced by Bob James.  Everything on here is either
funky, jazzy, or soulful. It features an all star personel including Grover
Washington, Bob James, Ralph Macdonald and more. My favorite tune on
here by far is " Piece of mind". You could catch me doin' a thousand pushups every time I
hear this jam...word to Many !!!!!! Check it out

Frank's Weekly "Pulled From The Stash"

Pulled out of Franks stash this week is probably one his favorite
records by a group called Tarika Blue. This piece right here doesn't
have a single dull moment, which is why the record commands 80 to 100 dollars. I've even seen it go for 175 on eBay once. Anyway check
out the gems on here...... Enjoy
