Photographer and all-around creative Ari Marcopoulous presents a new body of work documenting an influential time in New York City’s skate scene. Revolving around 1993, the seminal skate movement would go on to cement New York City as one of the meccas of skating. Marcopoulous’ work comes courtesy of candid photos shot through Polaroids, black and white shots, photocopies, drawings and color snap shots. The exhibition opens on Saturday, September 11th at 8 pm via OHWOW and will accompany the release of Marcopoulous’ Stoopz book.
